Maduro wins elections

Chavism candidate is victorious in a very hotly contested elections

 Chavism, Nicolas Maduro, candidate won the election carried out on Sunday in Venezuela and will happen to Hugo Chávez at the head of the Government of Venezuela until 2019, informed the President of the Electoral National Council (CNE), Tibisay Lucena.

The head of the Electoral power indicated that 99,12% of the votes counted, Maduro managed 7.505.338, 50,66 percent of the vote, 234.935 votes more than the opposition candidate, Henrique Capriles, who obtained 7.270.403 for 49,07% of the votes.

Lucena said that the data were provided once the trend was irreversible in the computation of votes, on a day that saw a participation of 78,71% of the 18.9 million Venezuelans summoned to the polls.

"The CNE when it gives an election outcome is because they are irreversible results," he said.

"We want to say to candidates, political organizations, commands that now is the time to go to their homes to invite his followers and their followers tranquility and convey the tranquility that all people deserve," he added. He said that the country "has gone through difficult times" and as always has managed to "overcome in peace" these difficulties.

Lucena said that "Venezuela in today has talked and talked about strong, these are the election results".

The winner of the election must be completed in 2019 mandate that Hugo Chávez, who died on March 5, began on January 10.
