A man has been charged with murder and attempted murder after a nine-year-old boy was stabbed in a skate park and an 84-year-old woman was found dead in her home.
26-year-old Nathanial Flynn is accused of stabbing to death retired teacher Louisa Denba, who shared his address in Shipley, West Yorkshire and is believed to be his grandmother.
Police discovered her body at her home in Prospect Mount on Monday following reports that a nine-year-old boy had been stabbed in nearby Carnegie skate park.
West Yorkshire Police confirmed Mr Flynn has been charged with the attempted murder of the boy, named locally as Jason D’Arcy.
The boy, who was stabbed at about 4.40pm on Monday, was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary suffering from chest and arm injuries and is said to be in a stable condition.
