Police were seeking a 2-year-old boy believed to have been kidnapped after a double homicide on Sunday morning in Rhode Island.
An Amber Alert, a statewide child-abduction notice, was issued for the boy, they said.
Two people were killed in the Johnston house shortly before dawn, according to police.
“He’s considered armed and dangerous,” Deputy Police Chief Daniel Parrillo said, adding that Crowell is also wanted for questioning in connection with the homicides.
Crowell, described as African American with brown hair and brown eyes, about 5′ 6″ tall and 145 lbs, has tattoos on his chest, left and right forearm.
Police declined to provide further details about the two people killed and their relationship to the child and Crowell, saying the investigation is ongoing.

Massachusetts State Police say the suspect in a double homicide and kidnapping in Rhode Island has been captured, but the toddler is still missing.
State police spokesman Dave Procopio tells WPRI-TV that Malcolm Crowell was apprehended Sunday afternoon in Fall River after a nationwide Amber Alert was issued for 2-year-old Isaih Perez. Procopio says Isaih is still missing.
Earlier Sunday, police were called to a home in Johnston, where they found the bodies of two people and discovered Isaih missing.
Police had said Crowell should be considered armed and dangerous.
Investigators are still working to determine the relationships among Crowell, the boy and the two homicide victims.
