The discovery of a suspicious package on the exterior steps of the Cadorna station in central Milan has led authorities to suspend service on part of the M1 and M2 metro lines according to Italian paper 'La Gazzeta dello Sport'.
The police are investigating the package and are hoping to return the public transport to normal service as quickly as possible. The stations affected are the M1 from Cadorna to Cairoli, while the M2 line is suspended from Garibaldi to Porta Genova.
