A Swedish appeals court has decided to uphold the arrest warrant for Wikileaks founder Julian Assange.
The ruling prolongs the six-year legal stand off between Assange and Swedish authorities.
Assange is wanted for questioning over rape allegations made by two Swedish women.
The 45-year-old avoided possible extradition to Sweden by taking refuge in Ecuador’s London embassy in 2012.
The Australian national fears further extradition to the United States, where a criminal investigation into Wikileaks is ongoing.
Assange has been warned by the Metropolitan Police that if he leaves the embassy he will be arrested.
